This Privacy Policy describes how Bike Mec ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.
By using Bike Mec, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Account information: name, email address, and password (or credentials via third-party sign-in) when you create an account.
Payment information: when you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by Google Play or Apple App Store. We do not directly collect or store your full payment card details.
Profile and activity data: any information you choose to enter into the App, such as goals, notes, or preferences.
With your explicit permission, the App can connect to the following third-party services to import your activity and fitness data:
Strava: When you connect your Strava account, we access activity data (such as rides, routes, distance, elevation, and related metrics) that you authorize through Strava's OAuth authorization process.
Our use of Strava data is subject to Strava's API Agreement and Strava's Privacy Policy.
RideWithGPS: When you connect your RideWithGPS account, we access route, ride, and related activity data that you authorize through RideWithGPS's authorization process. Our use of this data is subject to RideWithGPS's terms of service and privacy policy.
You may disconnect these integrations at any time within the App or through the respective third-party service's account settings. We only access the data these services make available through their official APIs, and only after you have granted permission.
Device information: device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
Usage data: how you interact with the App, such as features used and session length, for the purpose of maintaining and improving the App.
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, operate, and maintain Bike Mec's core functionality
Sync and display data imported from Strava and RideWithGPS
Process and manage in-app subscriptions
Back up your data securely so it is available across sessions and devices
Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the App
Maintain the security and integrity of the App
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not share your data with third parties for their own commercial or marketing purposes.
To ensure your data is not lost, we maintain a private backup of your account and activity data on secure servers hosted by "Google Cloud Platform". This backup is:
Accessible only to you through your authenticated account
Not shared, sold, or made available to other users or third parties
Protected using industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (e.g., TLS/HTTPS) [and encryption at rest, if applicable]
Bike Mec offers optional paid subscriptions that unlock additional features. Subscription purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We receive limited information about your purchase (such as subscription status and renewal dates) in order to grant you access to paid features, but we do not receive or store your full payment details, which are handled entirely by Apple/Google in accordance with their own privacy policies.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
Service providers: with vendors who help us operate the Bike Mec (e.g., cloud hosting, backup storage, and payment processing), who are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only to provide services to us.
Legal requirements: if required to do so by law, or in response to valid legal requests by public authorities.
Business transfers: if the App or company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a policy at least as protective.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Disconnect connected third-party accounts (Strava, RideWithGPS) at any time
Export your data
Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the basis for processing
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@trunnion.app.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the App's services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than your own. Where this occurs, we take steps to ensure your data continues to be protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
Connecting Strava or RideWithGPS accounts is governed by this policy only with respect to how we handle the data we receive. Your use of Strava and RideWithGPS themselves is governed by their own privacy policies and terms, which we encourage you to review.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page, and, where appropriate, through in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
